Goonhavern Primary School Music Video
Here is the Goonhavern Primary School Music Video we produced a couple of weeks ago.
We met the Year 6 students from Goonhavern Primary school last week and made a music Video with them.
They had an activity booked in with Newquay Football Golf, which looked great fun. We have have filmed professional music videos before, but we also like working with students as well.
The kids picked George Ezra’s Song Shotgun and they had a great time. We managed to get some cool shots with the drone and our 360 camera. The finished video was played on their last day of of School and went down a blast.
Newquay Football Golf
Here is a promotional video we made for a local business Newquay Football Golf, which is a popular family attraction in Cornwall.
Football Golf has the same principles as golf, but instead of using a golf ball and a club, you kick a football into the hole. The aim is to go around the course, by kicking the football into the holes or goals in the least number of kicks as possible. Newquay Football Golf course has 9 holes and has beach themed obstacles that you have to kick the football through and around including crab pots, a fishing boat and a tractor tyre. The last hole is a free kick and you have to kick the football over the wall.
The owners said they wanted their promotional video to be something exciting, but also funny to show off the course. The course has amazing views over Porth Beach and is in a perfect location. We used our Sony FS5 cameras to shoot the video because of the high dynamic range, and also because we wanted to use the slow motion feature. We managed to also use our crane for one of the final shots. One of our favourite films is Happy Gilmore and we couldn’t resist putting in a reference from the film, did you manage to spot it?
Newquay Football Golf said “We are over the moon with the video, the reason we used Sloth Productions was because we wanted a memorable video that stood out. Sloth productions created something that was above and beyond our expectations. The video has already had 3000 views on our facebook page, which has turned into an increase in footfall on our course.
3 Marathons 1 Day trailer
So here it is the 3 Marathons 1 Day trailer for the amazing charity Help Izzy Walk. The full video will be coming soon.
On Saturday 22nd October Simon Barnes, Lee Woodhatch, Anthony Harmes and Adam Witty-Merrin completed 3marathons in 1day in 14 hours. They ran the coastal path from Newquay to Padstow before jumping on their road bikes for a marathon cycle back to Newquay along a very hilly route. Once back at Academy Fitness, they jumped onto a Concept 2 Indoor Rower and rowed the 3rd and final marathon.
The challenge was the brain child of Simon Barnes – Director of Academy Fitness which is based at Newquay Tretherras School. Simon explained how he came up with the challenge only 4 months ago after a discussion with team mate Adam, who at the time thought he was crazy. Adam immediately said ‘I’ll join you’.
Simon then asked a couple of his members and good friends Lee whom has always wanted to run the coastal route and Anthony an ex-Army Captain who this year completed the Marathon Des Sables. The team was complete and around work and family they began to train.
It was brutal physically and mentally but we started as a team and finished as a team. (said Simon)
Lee explained how they were spurred on by all the generous donations and support from everyone on the day, the icing on the cake was when Izzy and family came to see us at the tail end of the rowing stage!
Although our challenge is over, Izzy’s journey continues so please if you haven’t already made a donation please visit the just giving page below and let’s help give this little legend all the support she needs in the future.
The team would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout, whether it was through donations, cheering, food supplies and the ongoing support through our regular social media posts/videos.
All the lads agree it would not have been possible if it wasn’t for our Superstar Physio Katie Hooper of Shore Physio who gave well needed treatment before and during the row marathon. A massive thanks to our support guy Ross Foreman who met us along both the run and cycle routes to make sure we ate and stayed hydrated. Richard & Alex from ‘Sloth Productions who have been filming the whole challenge and training to put together something special for Izzy and family.
Michael Pearce – Izzy’s dad explained ‘Thankyou so much to Simon, Lee, Adam and Anthony. Well done, three marathons in one day!! These four lads have raised over £1,500 for Izzy by putting their bodies through a mammoth challenge. I know how hard it was for you guys and we can’t thankyou enough for your support. Thankyou to everyone who supported and donated to these athletes. You are all helping to change a little girls life. Thankyou to Richard and Alex of Sloth Productions for filming the guys throughout their challenge, looking forward to seeing the video.
